Purple Pancakes (or Any Color You Want) with Hidden Baby Food

Image
This is a great, easy recipe that's also sneakily healthy! It's so easy, just remember 2-1-1: 2 cups of pancake mix, 1 cup of water, and 1 4 oz jar of baby food. It's very easy to change up the color too, just trade out the purple baby food for a different color. You can add a little bit of food coloring to brighten up the color too (this recipe make for a pastel pancake). Ingredients: 2 cups of pancake mix 1 cup of water 1 4 oz jar of baby food Additional food coloring (optional) Directions: Combine all ingredients and mix thoroughly. Do not over mix. Cook as normal. My oldest loves colored pancakes. If I ask him what he wants for breakfast, he'll tell me "red pancakes" or "blue pancakes" instead of "french toast" or "cereal". These are great for holidays too! You could mix in carrot baby food, divide the batter in 2, add black food coloring to half, and make black and orange Halloween pancakes. You could mix up a double batch of

Faded Fall: Classic Fall Fun in a Changed World

Faded Fall: Classic Fall Fun in a Changed World To say life is different right now is quite an understatement. Don't worry, I'm not going to talk about the "New Normal" because this won't last. But for the foreseeable future, we have to deal with the way the world is and figure out how to get as much out of life as possible. How is that going to effect the fall season? Probably in more ways than one but at least some things we're still able to social distance while doing. And other things, well we just need to be creative. How can we get the most of out this season while still being safe? Let's check out some ways. Always remember to be safe by social distancing, wearing a mask or other face covering, sanitizing or washing your hands often, and keeping an eye on the news for community levels of COVID-19 when preparing to go out. 1. Corn Maze The purpose of the corn maze is to be away from others, how much more perfect could it be? But if you do encounter s

Don't Waste Your Time or Money on These 10 Baby Care Items

\ Don't Waste Your Time or Money on These 10 Baby Care Items There's a lot of great use for lists out there but do you ever find yourself with tons of unfinished lists? When I was expecting my boys, I used tons of lists: to-do lists, to buy lists, what needs to be organized lists, planning lists, and so many more. I kept them all in my pregnancy journal and I promise you, there isn't a single finished list in there. My To Buy list for each baby was the worst when baby was born. A lot of the missing items weren't purchased until we needed them or I learned that I didn't need them after all. That's what I'm here to help you with today. I'm going to show you the top 10 things you don't actually need to buy for your little one. 1. Shoes Baby doesn't even need them until they are walking. And until then, you'll just be replacing the shoes after baby kicks them off. All. The. Time. One time I actually had to traipse my way back through the entire m

The Best Baby and Toddler Stacking Toys for Building Fine Motor Skills Stacking toys are great for developing young minds in many ways. The best stacking toys offer multiple ways to learn and play to keep kids interested and getting the most out of each toy. Baby Essentials: The First 3 Months It's no secret that babies come with a lot of things: clothes, equipment, spit up, and emotions (for baby and its caretakers). so what you need to keep in mind, is that you don't need everything that's available for your baby. There's basics that all babies need, and then the fun little add-ons that every parent can decide specifically on. Here is my take on the basics that are necessary for caring for a baby. Diapers I've used almost all of the diapers available in the US. I'll keep it simple. Luvs are great but Pampers Swaddlers are better.

What Gig Work I Do and What Sites I Like

What Gig Work I Do and What Sites I Like Whether you need a little extra money or you're a stay-at-home parent looking for a way to add a little income with or help with the bills, gig work can be an exceptionally helpful tool. Maybe you're looking for a way to supplement some income while you're out of work for whatever reason *cough* Covid-19 *cough*. (That joke was a bit TOO on point I think.) Or maybe you want a way to have enough additional income that you can donate to various organizations. Gig work can be a successful and effective method of increasing your income for whatever reason you have. For the purposes of this list, I included mostly survey sites (though most of them offer plenty of additional ways to earn money like shopping online, using their search feature, completing tasks, and more) because these are tasks that can be at home, on the couch, with your kids nearby. Heck, I've done surveys on my phone while lounging in the bathtub having some "Mo
